HELPING  HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN

For those of you who haven't read my bio, http://violetssoftcuddlycuties.blogspot.com/2012/04/how-it-started-my-name-is-violet-sharpe.html, I have Cystic Fibrosis and am hospitalized regularly. My hospital is called California Pacific Medical Center, CPMC, and is in San Francisco. I have gone to this hospital my entire life. There is a nurse in the hospital, who after seeing what long hospitalizations can do to a child's spirit, created a foundation called Little Wishes http://littlewishes.org/. This foundations lets hospitalized children make a 'wish' for something that will cheer them up while being sick in the hospital. It can be anything from books, movies, toys, a visit from an animal, or anything that is within reason and can be done in the hospital. I know how much this foundation has helped me get through the rough times, and it helps my family to know I am feeling a little happier in a bad situation. Recently the creator asked if I would make a Soft Cuddly Cutie Keychain based on the Little Wishes mascot, a little nurse. She wants to be able to give one to every child who receives a Little Wish to help them remember.

Little Wish Nurse Keychains

I would like to ask for help in my efforts to make these, and I have two ways in which you too can be involved in helping this organization.

1. Order your own Little Wish Nurse Keychain for $15, and $5 of that purchase will go directly to the Little Wishes Foundation. The way to do this would be to go through the regular ordering process at the top of the page. Send an email, Facebook message, or Etsy message with your request and I will create an order form on Etsy. After making the purchase I will make the keychain, send it to you, and give the $5 to the Little Wish Foundation.

2. With a donation of $10 I will make a Little Wish Nurse Keychain to give to the foundation. To do this click the "Donate" button on the right, enter the amount you want to donate ($10=1 keychain, $20=2 keychains, $30=3 keychains, etc.) and I will make a Little Wish Nurse Keychain to give to a child in the hospital.

I hope some of you choose to help these children. It would mean everything to me, the founder, and of course the children. No child deserves to be sick, but every child deserves a Little Wish.
